Silo Roof Reinforcement
As part of the silo strengthening project done by Talos General Construction, silo roof required reinforcing since there was evidence of cracks on the roof. Repair strategy involved introduction of steel beams running perpendicular to the existing roof beams. The two new steel sections were supported on both the old and the new silo shell. The damage/cracking to the existing roof was suspected to result from repeated movement and the introduction of new equipment on the roof.
