Silo Monitoring Equipment
Talos General Construction was engaged by the biggest cement manufacturing company from Zimbabwe to carry out structural inspections, stabilization and strengthening of cement silos. Talos engineers had to ensure that no further damage would occur to the silos during the project execution. Therefore, a sisgeo system was installed on the silos to monitor any movements and crack expansion. Namely, tilting (bi-axial), H-level (for structural settelement) and electrical crack meters. Total station was also used as an auxiliary monitoring system.
